Thyme

Thyme is a very aromatic low growing plant covered in tiny grey-green leaves and, in June, delicate mauve-pink flowers. The leaves may be used to flavour stews, stuffings, sausages and vegetables. Thyme tea with honey is good for soothing sore throats. Height 30cm. Hardy perennial.
